When I was 13, my parents decided to get me a 3 megapixel camera for my birthday in the hopes it distracted me enough to get over my obsession with World of Warcraft. Their plan didn't work, but it did get me outside. I started photographing literally everything, and I fell head over heels with the way freezing moments made me feel. At the time, I didn't quite recognize how important that silly camera was to me until I broke it by dropping it in the snow some months later. Not being able to create anymore completely devastated me. I could not fathom a life doing anything else and I haven't been farther than five feet from a camera ever since. Getting to freeze time makes me feel like a wizard, and this wizard would love the chance to work with you. If you're curious to know more about me there are some fun facts, a Spotify curated playlist, and my personal work down below. If you're already sold, and would like more information, please check out this page detailing the unique experience working with me!
I'm Dani. I'm a 28-year-old Boise transplant with well over 10 years of photography experience under my belt. I've cried at well-written vows, aided in dozens of bathroom breaks by stepping in as certified dress handler, and walked a collective 1,300,000 steps doing what I love. That's enough for me to walk back to Boise! I chose to venture into the weird and wet urban lands of Portland in order to be with the love of my life, who often accompanies and compliments me as my second shooter! I like pina coladas but don't particularly like getting caught in the rain, so I will admit that I've needed to invest in more clothing with hoods attached since moving here. When I'm not getting unexpectedly rained on, I am playing video games, watercoloring, or spouting useless bird facts to anyone with ears. Dumb & Dumber is my favorite comedy, I'll die on the hill that Scooby Doo: Zombie Island is the best horror movie ever made, and I really wish detective Stabler never left Law & Order: SVU. I'm a massive nerd and my love of photography started pretty young, all thanks to gaming habits.
